Overview
The Cloud Support Engineer I (CSEI) works collaboratively with Onpoint business team members, systems developers, and other Technical Operations team members to build, support, and maintain IT infrastructure assets in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud. This role’s broad responsibilities cover all aspects of IT support services from supporting end-users to maintaining AWS environments. It requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills. Successful CSEIs are highly productive and possess the ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cloud-based infrastructure in the AWS cloud
- Perform IT related tasks in accordance with Onpoint’s Information Security Program
- Assist in the configuration, monitoring and maintenance of Onpoint’s networks
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux systems
- Actively monitor system performance, logs, and health and proactively report abnormalities
- Provide end user support to Onpoint employees and clients
- Administer and manage Microsoft Office 365
- Support and manage Windows laptops
- Build and maintain virtual servers to support application requirements
- Contribute to new and existing system and procedural documentation
- Understand the value that Onpoint places on maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of our corporate and client data and meet applicable privacy and security compliance requirements
- Ensure that Onpoint and client data is accessed, handled, processed, transmitted, disclosed, and stored according to operational and IT policies and procedures
- Immediately report any suspected or actual violation of privacy and security policies or unauthorized access or disclosure of Onpoint or client data
- Understand that compliance with all privacy and security policies, laws, and regulations is part of each employee's annual performance evaluation
- Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Onpoint Health Data Employee Handbook
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated experience
- 0-2 years’ experience in a similar role
- AWS experience/certification is a plus
- Windows operating system experience
- Microsoft Active Directory experience
- Microsoft Office suite experience
- Microsoft 365 experience
- Superior problem-solving skills
- Experience with security applications and protocols
- Ability to work independently and manage projects as required
- Knowledge of desktops, laptops, and servers
- Knowledge of Python and SQL a plus
- Knowledge of PC hardware, printers, and mobile devices
- Knowledge of Linux a plus
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- A great attitude and aptitude to learn new technologies
