This is a hybrid role, with 3 in-office days required each week.

SUMMARY

The Security Analyst I works collaboratively with Onpoint’s Information Technology team and other business team members to build and support information security systems. The Security Analyst will help develop and implement technical solutions, policies, and procedures meant to protect Onpoint’s organizational data assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or destruction. This role requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills. Successful Security Analysts are highly focused on security threats and possess the ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.    

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluates detection, firewall, and traffic log data to identify patterns and trends.
  • Audits and evaluates existing data storage or transfer systems to identify weaknesses and assess risk
  • Implements new or upgraded security measures or controls, and documents system or policy changes.
  • Reviews security violation reports or logs, investigates possible security exceptions, administers incident response procedures and coordinates with internal personnel or external agencies as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations governing data security or privacy (HIPAA, PII, etc.)
  • Responsible for administering firewalls, anti-virus software, patches, and other security systems to protect against spyware, malware, hackers and associated risks.
  • Prevents, monitors, and reports on unauthorized access to website(s); identifies uncharacteristic actions or occurrences and subsequently investigates and implements security responses as needed.
  • Reports on findings and makes recommendations regarding changes to security protocol to protect company systems.
  • Develops and informs account users about security tips (e.g. password changes, security questions, and system upgrades), to protect information from unwanted sources.
  • Participate in Monthly security meetings
  • Reviewing various security reports weekly and creating tickets as necessary
  • Participate in HITRUST Audit processes
  • Perform IT related tasks in accordance with Onpoint’s Information Security Program
  • Actively monitor system performance, logs, and health and proactively report abnormalities
  • Provide end user support to Onpoint employees and clients as needed
  • Administer and manage Microsoft Office 365 including compliance policies
  • Contribute to new and existing system and procedural documentation
  • Understand the value that Onpoint places on maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of our corporate and client data and meet applicable privacy and security compliance requirements
  • Ensure that Onpoint and client data is accessed, handled, processed, transmitted, disclosed, and stored according to operational and IT policies and procedures
  • Immediately report any suspected or actual violation of privacy and security policies or unauthorized access or disclosure of Onpoint or client data
  • Understand that compliance with all privacy and security policies, laws, and regulations is part of each employee's annual performance evaluation
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Onpoint Health Data Employee Handbook

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • 0-2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • AWS experience/certification is a plus
  • Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCSP, CISA, CEH are a plus
  • Windows operating system experience
  • Microsoft Active Directory experience
  • Microsoft Office suite experience
  • Microsoft Office 365 experience
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • Experience with security applications and protocols
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects as required
  • Knowledge of desktops, laptops, and servers
  • Knowledge of PC hardware, printers, and mobile devices
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • A great attitude and aptitude to learn new technologies 
  • Stay current with emerging security threats and trends
