Staff Spotlight: Kate Davis, MBA, PMP - Client Services Manager

April 2026 - Today, we’re excited to spotlight Client Services Manager Kate Davis, MBA, PMP®, who brings 30 years of project and quality management experience in the healthcare industry to her work at Onpoint. Kate plays a key role in guiding our Client Services team, fostering collaboration across teams and mentoring others to ensure that they have the skills and resources to effectively meet our clients’ program and policy goals. Kate joined Onpoint in 2021 and has successfully stewarded data management, delivery, and reporting services for many of our clients. She brings an infectious energy and good humor to everything she does, creating strong partnerships built on trust and transparency, and we’re proud to highlight her as this month’s Staff Spotlight.

Iced coffee.

Cats or dogs?
I like both. I like my lifestyle – I feel like I’m healthier when I have a dog, but I think cats are more interesting.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
The ability to speak every language fluently.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Potatoes cooked multiple ways.

About Yourself 

Tell us a bit about yourself. What do you like to do outside of work? Any hobbies or hidden talents that your team might not know about? 
I love going to the theater and concerts and performing on stage. In addition to performing in musicals and plays, I’ve been a member of an improv group and sang in a band. I like gardening, cooking, and fiber arts. I like to be outside, kayaking and hiking and being at the beach.

How would you describe your role? What skills do you rely on most?
As Client Services Manager, I’m in charge of managing multiple priorities both internally and externally. It involves juggling a lot of moving parts and being very persuasive and organized.

I think of myself as a chef planning a multi-course meal. All the courses have different requirements, different ingredients, but everything must be ready at the right time. It’s all about creating an overarching vision but also focusing on the really small details – up to that final sprig of parsley as a garnish.

What are some highlights of your work – both in your role and with your team?  
There’s so much variety. Being able to work with multiple teams and multiple entities across one contract and understanding the nuances of each. They each have their own demands, expectations, and focus.

I liked that it was a Maine-based nonprofit with a mission that I believe in. It feels like an organization where I can make a difference.

What do you enjoy most about working at Onpoint? 
The people, both the internal and external partners we work with. They’re smart, kind, hard-working, and driven.

What excites you most about the company’s future? 
We keep growing and evolving to meet the needs of the organizations that we work with. With all the changes happening in healthcare overall, our work has only become more important for our clients and their communities.

What’s a new skill or lesson you’ve learned on the job that has helped you grow?
With all the competing priorities, it’s crucial to be able to identify what is the most pressing and important and focus on that.

What advice would you give to someone just starting in your field?
Take time to find tools that work for you, and keep in mind that there may be multiple tools available. Some tools work for certain projects, and some work better for others. It’s about alignment between the job and the tool.

How do teamwork and collaboration play a role in your day-to-day work?
They’re some of the most important aspects of our work! Every day is a team effort, engaging with others to bring their skills and dedication to create products and services that wow our clients.
