OVERVIEW

The Health Data Analyst (HDA) works closely with the Analytics team to review, analyze, and provide graphical and verbal presentation of health care data. The HDA learns to run queries and interprets outcomes to provide a key quality assurance role for our clients’ data. The HDA will also run reports that inform our clients on health care quality, access, and cost. Under direction of senior staff, the HDA also investigates unusual findings in the data and helps build new reports and products. The HDA must be detail oriented, capable of learning independently, and able to work on multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Analysis and Reporting 

  • Learn to use software tools such as SQL, SAS, R to query medical claims data and provide clients reports for multiple projects (e.g., use existing code to conduct linkages, run quality measure rates, refresh of person level files for analytic use)
  • After becoming familiar with coding tools, begin to modify code to develop new reports
  • Prepare graphical reports using Tableau, Excel, and other statistical programs and PowerPoint
  • Work with senior members of the Analytics Team to present health data in an accurate, efficient, and thoughtful manner
  • May take a lead analyst role on client/project after becoming familiar with Onpoint processes and databases

Quality Assurance

  • Support analytic staff by running Onpoint’s data quality processes for extracts and other Onpoint products and reports. This may include running queries using SAS and SQL to identify unusual findings in analyses and reports and reviewing them with the project lead and senior analysts.
  • Assist with evaluation and testing of new software applications
  • Help complete review and quality assurance of multiple Onpoint reports and deliverables

General

  • Work with Health Analytics Manager and project leads regularly to balance multiple projects and priorities
  • Begin to develop expertise in All Payer Claims Data, Onpoint’s data systems, and other healthcare topics
  • Begin to develop strong understanding of relational databases
  • Actively seek opportunities to learn and contribute more to the team
  • As a member of a broader team, take on and perform duties beyond specific role as assigned

Other

  • Understand the value that Onpoint places on maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of our corporate and client data and meet applicable privacy and security compliance requirements
  • Ensure that Onpoint and client data is accessed, handled, processed, transmitted, disclosed, and stored according to operational and IT policies and procedures
  • Immediately report any suspected or actual violation of privacy and security policies or unauthorized access or disclosure of Onpoint or client data
  • Understand that compliance with all privacy and security policies, laws, and regulations is part of each employee’s annual performance evaluation
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Onpoint Health Data Employee Handbook
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in sciences, mathematics, or another major with an emphasis on analytical or quantitative skills development, or equivalent experience
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency utilizing Excel and/or other data visualization tools to work with and analyze data sets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An interest in working with clients in a professional environment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Experience handling multiple projects while successfully meeting deliverable due dates
  • Experience working collaboratively as well as independently within multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in health care data and analysis, health information technology, statistics, relational databases, and/or knowledge of querying and analytical tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, Tableau, R, Python, Excel) preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The anticipated salary range for this position is $65,000 – 75,000, Onpoint’s good faith estimate of the annual salary for the position at the time of posting. Final base salary will be determined by several factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, education, job-related qualifications, and other factors. This range represents only one component of a comprehensive compensation and benefits package at Onpoint.

OVERVIEW

The Software Test Engineer supports systems development by assisting in the creation of automated test frameworks, designing and implementing test cases, and contributing to code that improves software testability. This role involves executing test plans and test cases both manually and using automated tools, identifying and reporting software defects, performance testing and collaborating with team members to ensure product quality. We are looking for an experienced test engineer to help establish and maintain new testing procedures and frameworks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Testing and Quality Assurance

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand testing requirements and use cases.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and tools.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality and performance.
  • Document test results and software responses clearly and accurately.
  • Help identify bugs and stability issues, and work with developers to resolve them.
  • Participate in evaluating new features and application versions for release readiness.
  • Ensure testing activities are properly documented and aligned with release processes.
  • Drive ongoing improvements in Onpoint’s software testing processes & tooling.
  • Participate in team discussions focused on enhancing product quality and reliability.

Other

  • Adhere to Onpoint’s privacy and security policies, ensuring proper handling of corporate and client data.
  • Report any suspected violations of data privacy or security policies.
  • Comply with all operational and IT procedures, as well as the Employee Handbook.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing.
  • Strong experience leveraging test automation tools (e.g., Cypress, Mocha, Postman).
  • Exposure to Onpoint’s technology stack (e.g., SQL, Java, Springboot, Ruby on Rails, React) is beneficial but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Willingness to learn and work with software testing tools and frameworks.
  • Basic knowledge of AWS services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 – $125,000, Onpoint’s good faith estimate of the annual salary for the position at the time of posting. OVERVIEW

Onpoint is looking for a mid-to-senior level engineer for one of our system development teams. This is a great opportunity for a talented developer who is comfortable working in a small team and taking ownership of technical solutions. Onpoint is the market leader in healthcare claims data management and reporting. Our systems are designed for scalability, processing and storing the healthcare data for 130 million individuals across the U.S. on behalf of our clients. This position will play a key role in designing and operating a secure, highly performant data access platform for our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and maintain public facing web applications
  • Architect backend services and database schemas
  • Write and implement smart, efficient, practical code
  • Monitor and optimize system performance
  • Balance hands on software development with project coordination
  • Support more junior team members through code reviews and peer programming
  • Recommend, test, and evaluate new software tools
  • Write useful, clear, and articulate documentation
  • Serve as a role model and mentor for junior developers, providing feedback on technical solutions and advice on opportunities for improvement

  • Strong experience in application development using languages such as Ruby, Javascript, and SQL
  • Familiarity with Web App development technologies and frameworks such as Ruby on Rails and React
  • Familiarity with AWS services
  • Experience designing and working with databases and complex data structures
  • Experience in Java & Spring is a plus
  • Healthcare data or data visualization experience is a plus
  • Ability to interpret complex information from various sources and communicate technical concepts and procedures to colleagues, customers, and others
  • Attention to detail and curiosity to probe further into data
  • Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be held accountable for deliverables and timeframes
  • Ability to work effectively independently, within, and across teams
  • Ability and willingness to quickly learn new technologies
