Coffee, if by “coffee,” you mean a latte that’s 70% creamer.

Cats or dogs?
Dogs (or cats that act like dogs).

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

What’s your go-to karaoke song?
“Dancing Queen” by ABBA.

If you could eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
My mom’s homemade pizza.

About Yourself

Tell us a bit about yourself. What do you like to do outside of work? Any hobbies or hidden talents that your team might not know about?
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family. Some of my favorite moments are the simple ones, like watching my kids ride bikes with the neighborhood kids, though I also love bigger adventures like Disney cruises. I’m a huge fiction reader and have already finished 66 books this year. A fun fact that many people don’t know about me is that I grew up riding, training, and showing horses competitively through college. I don’t have horses anymore, but I can definitely see myself getting back into it someday.

How would you describe your role? What skills do you rely on most?
My role is a mix of leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration. I manage an amazing team of software developers and testers, while also partnering with stakeholders, gathering requirements, contributing to solution design, and helping users get the most value from the products we build.

I rely heavily on adaptability, organization, and communication. No two days are ever the same, and I often find myself moving between strategic planning, technical discussions, user needs, and team support. I love that variety. Success in my role comes from being able to juggle multiple priorities, make informed decisions, and stay agile. Above all, I try to bring a positive perspective to challenges and focus on finding opportunities in every situation.

What are some highlights of your work – both in your role and with your team?
I’m especially proud of the work our team has done to continuously update our platforms in terms of design, accessibility, and workflows. We’ve introduced new and sophisticated capabilities for data intake and reporting while continuing to enhance the overall experience for our users.

What makes these accomplishments even more meaningful is the team behind the scenes. We have so many talented people who genuinely care about delivering high-quality solutions for our end users. It’s exciting to help evolve our platforms and continue building for the future.

About Working at Onpoint

Why did you decide to work for Onpoint?
I joined Onpoint because I wanted to be part of an organization where the mission is clear, the people are connected, and individual contributions can make a real difference. The nonprofit environment appealed to me because it fosters collaboration and shared purpose. I was excited by the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the organization to help shape products and services that directly support our customers and community.

What do you enjoy most about working at Onpoint?
What I enjoy most about working at Onpoint is the people. I have the privilege of working with an incredibly talented team of software professionals every day, and they make it easy to be proud of the work we deliver. Beyond my own team, I love collaborating with colleagues across the organization. Everyone is willing to jump in, share their expertise, and help solve challenges together. No two days are the same, but the culture of teamwork, support, and genuine care for one another is what makes Onpoint such a great place to work.

What excites you most about the company’s future?
I’m excited about the continued growth of the company and the opportunities that come with it. Every new person brings fresh ideas and perspectives, which helps us keep improving. In a time when things don’t always feel stable, it’s meaningful to work for an organization with a strong mission, a clear sense of purpose, and a commitment to looking ahead.

About Growth & Teamwork

What’s a new skill or lesson you’ve learned on the job that has helped you grow?
One lesson I’ve learned is that helping isn’t always the same thing as owning. I naturally like to jump in and solve problems, especially when I know I can get it done quickly. While that can be helpful in the moment, it isn’t always sustainable. I’ve grown by learning when to provide guidance instead of taking over and by trusting others to develop their own skills and ownership. It’s still something I work on, but it’s made me more effective and helped create stronger partnerships across teams.

What advice would you give to someone just starting in your field?
I’m going to sound a bit like a fortune cookie, but … ask questions and take the time to learn and document the answers so you’re not asking the same questions repeatedly. Show that you’ve made an effort to understand the problem and find a solution on your own, but don’t spend so much time struggling that you avoid asking for help when you need it. Be humble, curious, and kind, but don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself and share your ideas. Some of the best growth comes from balancing confidence with a willingness to learn.

How do teamwork and collaboration play a role in your day-to-day work?
Collaboration is woven into almost everything I do. I work with my team, stakeholders, and colleagues across the company every day to ensure that we’re delivering the right solutions while keeping our existing systems running smoothly. Priorities can change quickly, so flexibility and communication are key.

What I love about Onpoint is that everyone is willing to jump in and help when needed. We avoid silos, which creates a strong sense of shared ownership. Whether we’re discussing technical decisions, planning new features, or gathering feedback from end users, collaboration helps us build better software and better outcomes for our clients.
